Contract between Buyer and Breeder
Terms of Deposit and Purchase:
(A) A non-refundable deposit of $300 will hold this pet until the age of 6 weeks, at which time the balance and shipping are due. If the buyer does not complete the purchase, this deposit is not refunded and the pup again becomes available for adoption. (B) In the unlikely event that the puppy becomes ill or dies before leaving here, the deposit and any other monies paid will be *of the buyer's choice* either: 1. Refunded by the breeder, or 2. Transferred to another available pup of the buyer's choice. (C) All transportation arrangements (fly date, etc) will be made by the breeder to fit the breeder's schedule. The pup will not be allowed to leave here before the age of 8 weeks. (D) Any boarding past our initially agreed date will be $5 per day. (E) All pups are born of AKC-registered sires and dams. Pups sold on a spay/neuter contract will be sold without registration papers unless other prior agreements have been made. (F) Once you have taken possession of the pup, the following agreements are in effect:
Responsible Buyer's Agreement:
1. I agree to spay/neuter this pup at 4 mos (male) or 8 mos (female) of age. I understand that it is being sold as a pet only, and I will not allow it to breed or be bred unless prior agreements are in effect. 2. If, for any reason in the future, I cannot keep my pet, I agree that I will contact the breeder for help or approval in rehoming it. If a suitable new home cannot be found by the breeder or me, I will return it to the breeder at my expense with no purchase refunds. I will never surrender this pet to rescue, the pound, or any animal shelter. 3. I will feed this pet only a breed-specific food that is approved by the breeder. 4. I will keep it up to date on vaccinations and wormings, on a schedule approved by the breeder. 5. I understand that this contract is null and void if my pup/dog is placed under the care of any veterinarian affiliated with the chain of Banfield Veterinary Hospitals. 6. I will immediately contact the breeder to discuss any health issues that may arise. 7. I agree to keep my pet on a body halter and leash at all times outside my home or fenced enclosure. 8. I will not administer Trifexis or Comfortis flea/tick preventive. The active ingredient, spinosad, works by activating nicotinic acetylcholine receptors in the flea nervous system, causing an overload in it. The flea seizes to death. These products should be avoided due to the high risk for canine seizures as well. 9. I will not expose my IG to essential oil diffusers, scented air fresheners, or candles in the home, due to the high correlation between these products and neurological side effects on canines, such as seizures, nausea, and lethargy.
Breeder's Health Guarantee:
To my knowledge, this puppy is free of any diseases or genetic defects. This guarantee is valid only if checked by a veterinarian of your choice within 48 hours of receiving the puppy (weekends and holidays excluded) at the buyer's expense. For your assurance, I offer a limited 2 (or optional 4) year guarantee against any life-threatening genetic defects. This means, if your vet diagnoses your puppy with any genetic defects that would threaten the life of your pup, contact me immediately! I will need you to send your veterinarian's report along with a description. I also reserve the right to send your pup to a vet of my choice (near you) for a second opinion. The second opinion will be of no cost to you IF there is a confirmed defect. In the event your puppy dies unexpectedly, and your vet cannot pinpoint the cause of death, a necropsy may be needed to determine the cause of death (this will be entirely up to you, as it will be an incurred cost for you, but it IS needed for a refund).
Please remember that health is my top priority, and if there are ANY health problems with one of my puppies, I would need to know, to ensure no future breedings with health issues. *Please note: if a condition can be treated, it is not considered life threatening. If an inherited life threatening defect is found within two years, I will offer two options:
1. Keep your puppy, and I will reimburse the PURCHASE price of the puppy. (I would need you to return the registration papers and vet report before any refund can be given.) This option is not offered by most breeders. I offer this option because I know how strong a bond a person can develop with their pet in only a matter of days. (Please note, I cannot refund shipping charges or veterinarian expenses.)

2. Return your puppy along with registration papers and vet report. I will then replace your puppy with the next available puppy as soon as it becomes available. (If shipping charges apply to your situation, you are responsible for all related costs due to shipping, including crate, health certificate fees, etc.)
*I do not warrant against Parvo, coccidia, giardia, or other contagious diseases because I cannot control what the puppy is exposed to once it leaves my care. Your puppy should not leave your house or yard until the full series of puppy shots has been completed, to ensure the best possible immunity against communicable diseases. This guarantee is valid only for the buyer who signed below. This guarantee covers only inheritable LIFE THREATENING defects for 2 (or optional 4) years. We try our very best to breed and sell only top-quality pups, but once a pup leaves our care, we have no control over changes in diet, care, environment, vaccination, medication, or abuse. Therefore, we cannot be responsible if the puppy develops a cold, diarrhea, watery eyes, etc. It is up to the new owner to love and care for this puppy as we have. (**This health guarantee is extended to cover a period of four years IF you keep your puppy on a daily NuVet Supplement for those four years.)
I HAVE READ THE Q&A PAGE ON THE BREEDER'S WEBSITE AND UNDERSTAND ALL THE ISSUES DISCUSSED THERE. I UNDERSTAND THE TERMS OF THIS PET PURCHASE AS OUTLINED ABOVE IN THIS CONTRACT. THE AGREED PLACE OF VENUE FOR THIS CONTRACT IS POLK COUNTY, ARKANSAS, AND I AGREE TO THESE TERMS BY MY DIGITAL SIGNATURE BELOW.
